The New Wave of Education
The Port of Call for All is a series of lesson plans for 4th and 6th grade students developed by area teachers and museum professionals to engage children in thinking about the Port of Green Bay beyond bridges and ships, but rather as a link to the rest of the world. The lessons are designed for teachers to use individually or as a complete unit. Either way, the lessons will give students a comprehensive understanding of the Port of Green Bay and its vital role in our history, our lives and our future.
Each lesson in The Port of Call for All includes activities that engage students in learning about history, geography, mapping skills, ecosystems of the Great Lakes, shipping and commerce and more. The lessons use a variety of hands on activities and resources like CDs, books, and DVD's to enhance students learning. And the curriculum meets Wisconsin standards for 4th and 6th grade students.
