Resized Business BenefitsThe Port of Green Bay is a critical link in Wisconsin’s transportation system and serves as a multi-modal distribution center connecting waterborne vessels with an extensive network of highways and railroads. A nationally known truck lines provide overnight delivery within a 400-mile radius.

The Port of Green Bay is the westernmost port of Lake Michigan and offers the shortest, most direct route for shipments between the Midwest and the world. The Port provides modern, state-of-the-art facilities for handling a variety of cargo and provides Northeast Wisconsin manufactures a cost effective way to receive raw materials from suppliers and to ship high valued finished goods to customers.

Terminal Operators

There are thirteen Terminal Operators that represent a wide variety of industries located along the Fox River that utilize the Port of Green Bay.  More than two million tons of cargo is moved through the port each year on board more than 175 vessels.

Terminals located on the adjacent Fox River include docks capable of handling dry bulk commodities such as coal, cement, limestone, salt, stone and pig iron; bulk liquids including tallow, petroleum products and asphalt; and general cargo such as wood pulp, machinery and forest products.
